Easy Dukkah Breadsticks

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, cut into strips

  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

  • ¼ to ½ cup of your favourite Zambonelli Dukkah

  • ½ cup grated cheese (optional)

Preparation Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 355 Fahrenheit.

  2. Roll out puff pastry on a piece of parchment paper and brush with the egg wash. Cut into 1/2 inch strips. You can leave them long or cut in half for a shorter bread stick.

  3. Sprinkle the Dukkah over the pastry. If you are adding the cheese sprinkle it on now, and lightly press into the dough.

  4. Hold one end of the strip and gently twist the strip into a spiral, or leave them straight. Repeat with the rest of the strips, placing on baking sheet leaving space between each strip for baking.

  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
